September 28 Angela Williams plays works on the oboe &
recorder. She will be accompanied on the piano & organ. A featured
work will be the delightful trio for oboe, bassoon and piano by Francis
Poulenc. October 26 The Boys and Male Choir of Hereford Cathedral Choir, England, UK One of the world’s oldest and best boys choirs with their director Geraint Bowen will be performing here. Hereford is one of the three cathedrals closely associated with the oldest choral festival in the world, The Three Choirs Festival. The Girl Choir will be touring Hereford in 2009 so it will be a great opportunity to hear this wonderful choir before visiting them next summer. In addition Huw worked at Hereford Cathedral as Assistant Organist between 1995and 1998. Huw and Angela were married in this cathedral in 1997.
November 9 Brahms Requiem Redeemer Choir and friends
perform the Brahms Requiem accompanied by piano duet. This is a version
which Brahms himself arranged and it was recently recorded by King’s
College, Cambridge.

We proudly announce that this year’s series will
African Children’s Mission Early in 2004, a group of parishioners organized a committee to explore ways to respond to the AIDS crisis in Africa, focused on the plight of the rapidly growing population of children orphaned by AIDS. The Church of the Redeemer has identified organizations in Malawi that we, as a congregation, could support in meaningful ways. Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) IHN provides homeless families and single women with shelter. The guests of the shelter spend the majority of their time in the daycenter located in Norristown. In the evening the guests are housed in one of ten designated congregations (including The Redeemer) on the Main Line.
