Wanted: Bazaar Auction Items

Can you donate a week’s stay at your seaside or mountain retreat? A small antique that could fetch a good sum? Tickets to an Eagles game you can’t attend?

The Redeemer Bazaar Auction team wants to hear from you! Keep in mind there is no Parish House for storage and that sales will occur only at the Bazaar Outreach Dinner at the Merion Cricket Club on Nov. 22. Therefore, think small in size and high in value. Organizers will safeguard donations at their homes until the morning of the event.

Besides treasures you can live without, consider purchasing something special that would make a great gift and donating that to the auction. Precious and semi-precious jewelry. US Women’s Soccer Championship Team signed memorabilia. A gift certificate to Zahav, winner of the 2019 James Beard Award for Top Restaurant. Or, assemble an event package, such as a Broadway play and overnight stay in New York, or a movie out, popcorn and babysitting on the Main Line.

Tap your creativity for an auction donation of your expertise or talent, such as:

  • A lesson in fly fishing, yoga, saxophone, or baking bread
  • Two hours of closet organizing, gardening, landscape consultation, or interior design
  • Studio or outdoor photography of a family or a dog
  • An oil, acrylic or watercolor painting
  • Dinner for eight, your favorite cuisine, at your house or the buyer’s
  • Live music for a private party
  • A custom floral arrangement for Thanksgiving, Christmas or another occasion

The Auction team eagerly awaits your donations. To check on the suitability of an antique or valuable, please contact Carolyn Bennett or Jane Hastings.

For all other donations, please contact Bazaar Outreach Dinner Committee Co-chairs Carolyn Morris or Lisa Davis
