Food & Gift Cards for People of Darby Mission

Darby Mission is a ministry to the people of Darby, one of the poorest municipalities in this region. As a result of COVID-19, many are unemployed, and the twice monthly "Darby Dinners" for about 100 residents, sponsored by churches like Redeemer, cannot take place. To compensate, the Rev. Doris Rajagopal, Vicar of Darby Mission, is regularly handing out paper bags of food and Visa gift cards for nonfood items to people without resources.

Because the Redeemer's Darby Dinner scheduled for May was cancelled, the Outreach Community Service Committee wants to contribute food (peanut butter, cereal, mayonnaise, pasta, pasta sauce, mac and cheese, tuna) and $25 VISA gift cards. Please click on our Sign-Up Genius link and indicate how you would like to help. If we provide 20 of each item, Darby Mission can feed 10-15 families.

If you would like to participate and are unable to go out, Outreach Committee member Jeanne Holeman will be glad to make purchases or deliveries for you.

Please drop off your items in the basket in the church Narthex no later than Tuesday, June 30. We will deliver them to Darby Mission the next day. Thank you!
