Make YOUR pledge by December 1
By Eric Rabe
The Redeemer Stewardship Pledge Campaign is underway, and members are quickly stepping up to support our church and show they care. An important goal is that each church member pledge before the campaign ends on December 1.
Even before the first stewardship communications were in the mail, nearly 100 percent of the Vestry had pledged, and each member had increased her/his family’s pledge from last year’s.
“Many of the pledges received so far have been increases from last year, and that shows great support for our church,” said Peter Vanderveen, rector. “If each of us does a little more, The Redeemer can do much more,” he added, echoing a 2014 campaign theme.
Anyone can make a pledge online, either by clicking the link provided in the email message or by going to The Redeemer web site, www.theredeemer.org/support. The site includes information about pledging and a short form to make a pledge. On the site, members can also sign up to make pledge payments automatically.
“We hope each member of The Redeemer will make a pledge at whatever level he or she can,” said Monte Mills, stewardship chair. “It is important to pledge now, so that we can hear from everyone before December 1.”
This year, members who have registered email addresses with the church are getting communications via email first. The messages include a simple “click to pledge” option that lets members complete their pledge right from the email message quickly and easily.
Those who don’t use email should have received traditional postal service mailings that include a convenient pledge card that can be returned to the church office. Every communication includes a brochure explaining the opportunities for The Redeemer if each member makes a pledge.
Since the Stewardship Campaign is a time to be sure that the church has accurate records for each member, anyone who hasn’t yet received a stewardship letter or email should let the church office know by calling 610-525-2486.
