Andrew Masterman

Andrew Masterman was born in Niagara Falls, NY.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in political science at The Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO in 1989, and received an MS in industrial engineering, an MA in Japanese studies and an MBA at Michigan in 1993.A cradle Episcopalian, Andrew has been active in the church as both a vestry member and youth leader while traveling extensively in the U.S. and abroad. Before moving to Pennsylvania in 2012, Andrew was active in various Episcopal Foundations at St Martins in the Fields in Columbia, SC as well as the Board of Regents at Kanuga Episcopal Conferences in Hendersonville, NC. At Redeemer, Andrew has been active on the Music Committee, taught fifth grade Sunday School and serves on the Youth Formation Committee. He also is on the Advisory Council for the Legacy into Promise capital campaign. Professionally, Andrew is the Chief Executive Officer of BrightView Landscapes, the world’s largest commercial landscaping company with over 23,000 employees. Based in Plymouth Meeting, PA, the firm  builds and maintains some of the most iconic and beautiful landscapes in North America. Prior to coming to BrightView in late 2016, Andrew held a number of executive leadership positions with metallurgical firms, including Precision Castparts Corporation, ESAB Welding and Cutting in North America, Platinum Metals Group, and Spartan Light Metal Products. Andrew and his wife, Cheryl, have been married over 20 years and have three children: Zoe (17), Nicholas (15) and Ryan (12) who all sing in the Redeemer choir as well as serving as acolytes and junior vergers. Andrew enjoys working out in the gym, snow skiing, mountain hiking, scuba diving, a good glass of pinot noir and kayaking in the San Juan Islands.
