The Christmas Village
will be open
November 21 & 22
May 2026
Dear Friends and Members of The Redeemer,
As we celebrate the ongoing life of The Redeemer, plans are well underway for this cherished two-day gathering, which takes on special meaning in our 175th anniversary year.
As this year’s plans continue to take shape, we remain committed to the spirit of The Christmas Village, which honors how we come together as a congregation, recognizing that it is our congregation’s participation that makes it all possible. Familiar elements will return, along with a few new touches that reflect both the history of The Redeemer and the life of our community today. We are deeply grateful for the committee’s thoughtful input and the many hours of dedicated time and service that continue to shape this gathering.
As evening falls on Friday, the Parish House and its surrounding spaces will once again glow with light, warmth, and welcome. As we gather for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres under a beautifully lit tent, there will be an opportunity to enjoy a selection of special silent auction offerings, accompanied by the sounds of carolers singing time-honored holiday classics. From there, we will move into the Parish House, where the main floor will be filled with friends, conversation, and a festive meal shared in good company. Our dinner will bring us together in smaller gatherings, where friends can share time with one another, enjoy meaningful conversation, and reflect on both the season before us and the journey of our church over nearly two centuries. It is the committee’s hope that this time together will feel personal, unhurried, and grounded in fellowship.
On Saturday, the Parish House will transform into a lively “indoor wonderland,” inviting parishioners, friends, and our community to experience the inspiration, generosity, and spirit that define The Redeemer. The majority of offerings will be created by members of our church, complemented by a select group of outside family-favorite artisans. Throughout the Parish House, the Christmas season will be present in every corner, expressed through festive décor and musical interludes that bring the spirit of the season to life.
As is our tradition, proceeds will help fund programs that provide vital support to those in need in our region.
We encourage you to begin thinking now about joining us for this special weekend, as we come together in fellowship, celebrate our community, and mark this 175th year in the life of The Redeemer. Seating will be provided for all who wish to be part of the Friday evening celebration, and our goal is for the Parish House to be filled with friends, conversation, and the shared joy of the season.
There will be many ways to become involved, whether as a benefactor, volunteer, or donor, and we look forward to sharing more in late summer. From Evergreens to Mistletoe, and all who come, each of us plays an important role in sustaining the time-honored tradition of The Christmas Village.
So, please mark your calendars for Friday, November 20th and Saturday, November 21st.
With early Holiday wishes,
Jim Kelleher and Rik Morris (Co-Chairs)
